The following list is made up of names that I am in the process of tracing. Any information that you can offer will be much appreciated.

Angus, Robert - A Private in the Black Watch.  From Alyth

Brown, James - Private, 8th Seaforth Highlanders.  From Alyth*

Brown, Robert - Joined in Canada.  A Private.  Belonged Alyth*

Cameron, F - On St. martins war memorial.  There seems to be only one F Cameron in the A&S Highlanders on CWGC site.  Is this him?

Carruthers, James P.*

Clark, Alfred - Black Watch On Kettins Memorial.  Died 24th April 1917

Clark, Charles. -  He is mentioned on the Alyth War Memorial as having served in the Black Watch.  On CWGC site there are three Charles Clarks, but there is no indication where they are from.

Clark, Norman - Royal Army Medical Corps. In Perth & Kinross 'Golden Book' as being from Kirkmichael & Bridge of Cally.  Not on CWGC site

Constable,J.D.  - 2nd Lieutenant, Royal Army Signals Corps. In Perth & Kinross 'Golden Book' as being from Kirkmichael & Bridge of Cally.  Not on CWGC site.

Constable, James G., Major - Royal Army Pay Corps. In Perth & Kinross 'Golden Book' as being from Kirkmichael & Bridge of Cally.  Not on CWGC site.

Corbett, George *

Cossar, W R. - Royal Scots. In Perth & Kinross 'Golden Book' as being from Kirkmichael & Bridge of Cally.  Not on CWGC site.

Coventry, William - There is a Willie Coventry, son, aged 10, son of William and Annie Coventry, living at Lochbank Cottar House, Bendochy, Perthshire.  He was born in Alyth.*

Craigie, T - A private in the 2nd Bn. Black Watch*

Cram, George*

Cross, John - A Private. On Kettins War Memorial.  Cannot identify him on the CWGC site.

Crozier, Harold - There is a "Harry" on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission web site, but there is no indication as to where he is from.  In the 1881 census there is only one Crozier in Blairgowrie.  He is James, a 28 year old, unmarried farm servant from County Armagh, in Ireland.  He was living, with other farm servants at Easter Banchory Farm Bothy.*

Dailly, D. H. - Royal Army Signals Corps., In Perth & Kinross 'Golden Book' as being from Kirkmichael & Bridge of Cally.  Not on CWGC site.

Davidson, Donald - A private in the Seaforth highlanders.  from Alyth*

Denholm, William - A Private  in the Royal Scots.  from Alyth* Think he number might be 18288 who died 26th September, 1917.

Dickson, Thomas - A private from Alyth.  Not found out which regiment yet.*

Donald, Thomas - A Private.  On Kettins War Memorial.  Think this is Tom Donald, who once stayed in Coupar Angus.  6162 of the 2/6th Btn, Royal Warwickshire Reg.  He was formally  1862 of the Highland Cycle Btn., and was killed in action 19th July, 1916.

Donaldson, James - Fought for Canada.  In Perth & Kinross 'Golden Book' as being from Kirkmichael & Bridge of Cally.  Not on CWGC site.

Donaldson,William - A driver in the Royal Engineers. In Perth & Kinross 'Golden Book' as being from Kirkmichael & Bridge of Cally.  Not on CWGC site.

Duff, Alexander - A private in the black watch.  From Alyth*

Duncan, Alexander - Of Royal Garrison Artillery.  From Kirkmichael/Bridge of Cally.  The only Alexander Duncan I can find on the CWGC site that is in the 393rd Siege Bty.,  Royal Garrison Artillery is Lance Bmd., 362346, son of Andrew and Margaret Duncan of Drumquin, Co. Tyrone.  He was 20 when he died on 5th December 1917.

Fleming, Thomas - A Private in the Australian expeditionary force.  From Alyth*

Fraser, Thomas -  A private in the Black Watch from Alyth.

Gow, James - A lance-Corporal from Kirkmichael/Bridge of Cally.  Most probably the son of Donald and Janet Gow , of Old Blair Cottages, Blair Atholl, Perthshire.

Hendry, Andrew - A private in the black watch.  from Alyth*

Howie, Robert - a private in the royal scots.  from Alyth*  There are two possibilities on the CWGC site. A Robert Howie, aged 4 in 1901 Census, was living with his parents, John and Helen, and his siblings at 6 Cairnleith Street, Alyth.  Is this him?

Jamieson, Wm C - on Kinclaven memorial in churchyard.*

Kidd, John - From Alyth, in the Black Watch.  Two possible on the CWGC site.  One number 2901, died 25/9/1915; the other number 202597, died 19/7/1918.

McLeish, George -  Cannot find on CWGC site.  From Kettins, Perthshire - this can to be in Angus or Forfarshire. Brother of Frank?  There are a George and Frank in the 1901 census.  They are staying at Newton Cottages, Abernyte.  Their parents are Frank W & Margaret McLeish.

Rollo, William - There is a William Rollo from Alyth and also one from Meigle in the 1901 census.*

Shaw, James (Alyth) - There are two James Shaws’ who were in the BW.  One died 21/10/1916, son of  the late James and Mary Shaw.  He was 33.  The other died on 21/8/1916

Smith, John - Royal Field Artillery.  From Alyth.  Could be one of the following death dates ...

D 24/6/15; 24/7/1916; 10/9/1916; 27/12/1917; 28/12/1916; 26/10/1918; 3/2/1919

Smith, Robert - (Alyth) There are 7 Robert Smiths' from the Black Watch listed on the CWGC site.

Smith, Thomas K - On Kettins War Memorial.  There is only one Thomas K Smith on the CWGC site.  He is a Private in the West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Own).  Number 267817.  He died on 10th April 1918.  According to the 1891 census there is a Thomas Smith living at Baldowrie Cottage, Kettins with his parents Thomas and Isabella.  There is also a boarder, one Peter Shaw.
