In the 1881 Census, Charles snr. and Susan were living at "Williamsburgh", Clunie.  He was 30 and she was 25.  They had three children at that time, Mungo 3 years, Margaret C. 1 year, and David W. 2 months. Charles is down as a coachman domestic servant.  All were born in perth (perthshire?)

living at gaugerhall, clunie is a john clark aged 69, his wife jean aged 68, daughter elizabeth,unmarried, aged 28, son colin c. aged 25, and grandson james aged 2. John is listed as being a retired gamekeeper and crofter of 7 acres. All were born in Perth (Perthshire?)
